Our Invitation to You
We would like to extend an invitation for you to join the MOVGA Amateur Golf Tour in 2009, our second season. Our goal is to provide a competitive and fun weekend golf league for golfers of all abilities. Events will be open to men and women of any age and flighted so you can compete with others in your same handicap range.
For the "Average Golfer"
We'd all like to play like Tiger and Annika but even if your game falls a little short, (or right or left) you can still enjoy the competition of a friendly round of golf. You will play from the tees that fit your game along with others that are closely matched. Tournaments will be held about every other week on a variety of the best local courses. These will include four "Majors" and a FedEx style "Tour Championship" Pick only the events you want to compete in or join them all. Events will be individual stroke play so there is no need to form a team or find a partner. Just register for the event and show up, we do all the rest. Join us for an upcoming tournament and take your game to the next level.
Our Goals
In this, our second year, the primary goal is to build membership and promote the tour. As membership grows we will be able to establish a fund to support the game of golf in our area and give back to our local neighborhoods and charities.
