These lakes were built in 1929 and together make up 10 surface acres. The lower Miletree Lake has a maximum depth of 40 feet and an average depth of 20 feet. The upper Miletree Lake has a maximum depth of 18 feet and an average depth of 7 feet. Trails surrounding both lakes provide bank fishing access.

Miletree Lakes are located near Spencer in Roane County. They are accessible from WV Route 14 via County Route 33/1. The lakes are very scenic and in close proximity to Spencer. The trail there consist of old road on the east side of the lower lake and wooded singletrack with lake access for fishing on the west side of the lower lake.
Boating, fishing with live minnows as bait, and camping are prohibited.
Miletree Lakes provide a warmwater fishery for largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie. Trout are stocked into the lower lake in January and March. In the past these lakes have produced trophy bass and crappie.
