Description:
WMA Program enables wildlife biologists to conserve and manage habitat to benefit all wildlife species. Size: 2,587 acres Terrain: hilly with wooded slopes, some open bottomland and a few open ridge tops. Hunting Prospects: deer, grouse, rabbit, squirrel, turkey, waterfowl. Trails: from CR 8/5 a parking area offers foot travel access across an old road traversing open bottomland to the Jackson county border and the lake beyond.

East of Ripley and south of state Route 33 at Marshall, access is provided at Marshall, also from state Route 28 at Frozen Camp and secondary Route 8 in western Roane County. There is a parking area in Roane County portion. Majority of this WMA is located in Jackson County.

Camping is not permitted.

Signage: not well-signed at Roane County entrance off 33. There was one WMA sign but I don't think it was directional.
