Cross Town Bikeway
Connects Southwood Park to Emerson School Shared roadway 6 Miles
The Cross Town Bikeway is a signed, share the road type facility on varying terrain that overlaps with the Little Kanawha Connector Trail at the East Street bridge through to Staunton Avenue.
At Staunton Avenue, the trail uses two one way facilities (Liberty Street and an adjacent alleyway) for ingress and egress to and from the Parkersburg City Park. The trail crosses over 7th Street and maintains a course along Liberty Street to Washington Avenue. Washington Avenue, then serves as a share the road facility to the Parkersburg City Park.
The existing signed trail is approximately 1.6 miles in length from East Street to the Parkersburg City Park.
Plans are in place to connect Southwood Park to the East Street bridge section, but a final route and facility type have yet to be determined. From the Parkersburg City Park, additional plans are in place to connect the Cross Town Bikeway to Emerson School. While a route has been identified, this facility is not signed.
