Special Notice: Since the meeting is being moved to a private residence the alcohol restriction will no longer be in effect. So, you are more than welcome to bring beverages and snacks to the meetings. This change is best summed up by Roger Kalter's comment at the November meeting when we anounced this move. "Beer is Back!!!!"
MRCC MINUTES FOR NOV. 2008 ATTENDANCE: Marie Ralston, John & Kittie Clark, Roger Patterson, Dan Jones, Peter Prigge, Linda Lewis, Roger Kalter Treasurer’s Report: Checking: $853.56, Club Acct: $ 45,989.80, Jim Stephens MAWBF: $13,480.66 Cycling : Roger Kalter is planning for the Holiday Lights Tour, Dec. 26, 2008. There was a lot of talk about safety issues. A registration will be required, kids must be accompanied by an adult. Lights and a helmet are required. MRCC will provide $100.00 to help with the cost. Bike repair: no response from the Boy’s and Girl’s club. Bike Path: on track to be extended next year, as well as getting a the path to go north to Devola. Boat Storage: all boats to be out of the basement by Nov. 28, 2008. The door will be unlocked after that. River Rendezvous: NO EARLY MEETING IN DECEMBER. Will do “stuffing” at the January meeting. Dragon Boat: Janet Chase is president West Side Boat Dock: Proposed near the RR Bridge, to be constructed of concrete. Harmar Boat Club: need a truck to tow the boat trailer. Still looking for a women’s coach. Boat Maintenance: The Daubler needs work, others in good shape. Club House: The city seems receptive to a lease of the lock house. MRCC would be committing to cleaning, painting, getting an electrical evaluation and correcting problems , replacing the heating system, and building a bathroom.
