Corn Maze ride fun and educational too!

corn maze

Hey, we've added another epic ride to our repertoire! Saturday's ride to the corn maze was (can I say it?) AMAZING! The weather forced a later start than we'd planned. Jim Stouffer, Candace Jones and I chowed down in the Crystal Restaurant on Market Street until we were sure the rain had changed its mind, leaving from McDonalds around 11:30AM.

The skies were mostly grey but we enjoyed a spot or two of sunshine off and on. The temperature was cool but not too cool to prevent us from enjoying the ride. Cycling time for the trip out and back was 2 hours and 5 minutes. The hills were VERY gradual and forgiving and posed no difficulty. The berm on route 339 was nice and wide and exceptionally clear of debris making it a very relaxing trip.

The corn maze was a blast! The $3 admission gets you a list of questions, all of which have to do with bees and beekeeping. Each question gives you navigation instructions and a bit of insight into the life of bees. It was very educational and a lot of fun. It's incredible how much you can learn while laughing your head off!

We hit the Veto Napolis before heading back and can recommend it as an ideal stopping point for future rides.

The corn maze opens each year right after Labor Day so rides can, ideally, be scheduled anytime in late September or early October.

Put this one on your calendars for next year. It's got the potential for greatness!
