Great local active fun with grandchildren in the Mid-Ohio Valley
I love being a grandma. Retiring at the age of 42 has allowed me to enjoy great adventures with my grandchildren. I am the "nature-influence" in their lives and I take that role seriously. My daughters grew up kayaking, riding bikes, being outdoors, whether they liked it our not. As young women they are stretched like many at that age and don't have the time or energy to take the members of our newest generation on grand adventures. That is where I get to be the hero. Every time I see my grandson, he asks me when we are going on a hike. I purchased a BOB off-road stroller when he was an infant and we enjoyed many backwoods adventures it in. He has since outgrown it and his sister has taken his spot in it.
We recently spent a week together and explored the local area. We had a grand time. I know a lot of great places to enjoy in our local community and my grandchildren and I enjoyed them thoroughly. What may seem like a simple outing to us is a grand adventure to them. Here is a report on our adventures, destinations and fun. There were all free of charge. I encourage you to go out and play in our great Mid-Ohio Valley.
You can see an inventory of places to enjoy on the oPam under the tab Providers. It is growing all the time, along with the adventures reported on them. I hope you enjoy this information and use it to create your own local adventure.
