A great start to a new trail system in Parkersburg
After a lot of planning and coordination with the city, we started hitting the dirt, literally, in the Johnson T. Janes city park Tuesday, August 2nd. We are developing a primitive trail system for use as a hike/bike trail system. Its first use will be by hunters who will be hunting in the newly opened area to hunting this season.

Johnson T. Janes Park is a 100 acre park that lies within the northeastern portion of Parkersburg city limits. Once open to the public it will contain a 4 mile single and double track hike/bike system. Entrance is at the end of 27th street in Parkersburg after the construction of a bridge over Worthington Creek.
