WVMBA Meeting Minutes for November 14, 2010
The meeting was called to order at 6 pm.
The race scheduled approved with minor changes pending approval regarding a date change on the Davis cross country race.
Discussed ultra series awards
$50 per promoter towards championship. Passed.
Elections. Drew Smithberger - president Vice pres. Kim Coram Treasurer - Mike Miller Secretary - Don Parks
Timing - Phillip does not want to continue for $100 per race and he wants to race. Motion made asking. Each promoter will provide timer so Phillip can race. Recommend looking for new timer. Steve will negotiate with Phillip to see what he is willing to do. Kim will advertise to membership for position. $100 per race plus gas per race to register and time event. Promoters are paying $450 now in fees. If we pay more than $100 we will go in the hole on fees. But we can recover it by cut back on pay out at year end. Offer $150 plus gas. Job is to do registration and wrapping up timing.
North Fork mountain Frank from Imba spoke. Bill was introduced in senate and sent to committee. Mollohan bill said it was friendly to mt bikers.
Asking for wvmba to step up and advocate. His job is to help us build.
Kim will advertise new schedule in papers. Kim will promote advocacy.
Joey will organize North fork ride. We are in state parks because of wvmba. Push out message. Wvmba is an imba club.
