JR Petsko embezzles thousands, commits insurance fraud - requests to the owner of ABRA racing
The following correspondence was delivered to JR Petsko, WVMBA's former Executive Director.
We have received no response from JR Petsko after our last letter to him.
To summarize JR's activity, he stole a majority of race promoters insurance funds, which many paid in cash the day of their race. He "pocketed" the money. He had put many volunteer race directors and supportive parks that allow mountain bikes at risk, me included. That was really just the tip of the iceberg. He paid his girlfriend (now wife) for winning a race-series she never participated in. He paid to start his current company with WVMBA funds. He spent all of WVMBA's money and left significant debt. I am assuming he was trying to make WVMBA go away so that he could profit from what he realized the non-profit was earning. He has recently offered some mountain bike race opportunties. WVMBA always gives back its funding to the community. JR took advantage of that and his business was built on WVMBA's funds. A complete audit is available. This is substanitated by bank records.
