Camping
Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or an overnight resting place the Mountwood Park Campgrounds includes 92 sites with amenities ranging from full hookups to primitive and lakeside sites. Two bathhouses, a dump station, playground equipment, picnic shelters, and recreational facilities are available.
Location: The campgrounds are conveniently located on US Route 50 twelve miles east of Parkersburg, West Virginia and ten miles east of Interstate 77. Less than a quarter of a mile from the campgrounds and across Route 50 is Mountwood Park- 2,600 acres of wooded hills and valleys with picnic shelters, a lake and marina, and hiking, biking and horseback riding trails.
Season: The active campground season is from April 1-November 1. Visitors are welcome to stay in the campgrounds in the off-season; however, special amenities such as the campground store will not be open. Regular rates still apply in the off-season. Winterizing campers are permitted at the campgrounds.

Directions to the Campgrounds:
From the Cumberland Maryland Area - Take I-68 West to I-79 South. Continue on I-79 for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 119 to merge onto US Route 50 West towards Clarksburg, WV. Continue on Route 50 for about 60 miles. Turn right onto Borland Springs Road and veer right up the hill. Welcome to the Mountwood Park Campgrounds.
From the Akron/Canton Area - Take I-77 South to exit 176 for US-50/7th St Downtown. Turn left at 7th Street/US-50 East. Continue on Route 50 East for about 11 miles. Turn left onto Borland Springs Road and veer right up the hill. Welcome to the Mountwood Park Campgrounds.
From the Columbus, OH Area - Take I-70 East toward Wheeling, WV for about 80 miles. Take exit 180A to merge onto I-77 South toward Marietta, OH. Continue on I-77 South and take exit 176 for US-50/7th St Downtown. Turn left at 7th Street/US-50 East. Continue on 50 East for about 11 miles. Turn left onto Borland Springs Road and veer right up the hill. Welcome to the Mountwood Park Campgrounds.
From the Charleston, WV Area - Take I-77 North toward Parkersburg, WV. Take exit 176 for US-50/7th St. Turn right onto US Route 50 east and continue for about 11 miles. Turn left onto Borland Springs Road and veer right up the hill. Welcome to the Mountwood Park Campgrounds.
Primitive Cabins
Located in the campgrounds are two rustic cabins. Both cabins contain four bunk beds, a ceiling fan, and electricity.
Beach House
Located along the 50 acre fully stocked lake are two beach houses for weeknight and weekend rentals. This facility is fully furnished with a queen size bed and pull out couch, living room, bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor deck. Pets are permitted with an additional fee. This is a smoke free environment. Visitors can check-in after 3pm and must check-out by 11am. Reservations
