Bike Fest - Great time enjoyed by all those attending
The Mid-Ohio Valley Bike Fest was a total blast ! Though the weather leading up to the weekend was very wet, the trails by Saturday afternoon were great. Everyone I spoke to was having such an awesome time. The rides were great, the food unbelievable and the comradery unforgetable.
There were three different routes used on Saturday. I chose to ride along with Bill on the 17 - 18 mile ride that included a portion of Ohio View to start with, the Ohio View Connector, portion of Archers Fork Loop, a little bit of road to connect them and then the entire length of Ohio View Trail from north to south. What a great time we had and from what the others told us of their rides they also had good times.
I missed the fun on Sunday due to work though all the feedback was awesome. Apparently there were a few different routes for Sundays rides also and plenty of great food for an after ride feast again. I'll attempt to get other photos of the event posted here as well.
It was great to see fellow RVMBA members, old aquaintences and to make new friends. We received great comments from everyone although this comment from a couple who drove from Morgantown to join us really makes it all worth while.
"Thanks RVMBA!
Carryn and I had an incredible time this weekend hanging with RVMBA crew. You folks made us feel welcome, showed us on some sweet, sweet singletrack and kept our bellies full for the whole weekend..
Lot's of riding, laughing, more riding and then a bit more laughing. Really well done event, in a really beautiful park. Waking up and seeing the mist on the Ohio river... Wow!
You folks built some beautiful singletrack, thanks for sharing.
John and Carryn".
