MRCC minutes for June 17,2009

MRCC met at the Washington Co. Public Library at 6:30 PM

ATTENDANCE: Rick and Marie Ralston, Dave Becker, Jean Nuss, John and Jan Hughes, Roger Hall, Garnet Stephens, Al Schneider, Peter Prigge, Paul and Judy Lewis, Charles Miller, Linda Lewis, John and Kittie Clark, Scott Britton, Scott and Vickie Miller, Nancy Coleman, Dan and Jane Jones, Roger and Betsy Calter, Roger Patterson. Treasurer’s Report: Checking $3,782.87, Club Account: $58,997.46, Jim Stephens

MAWBF: $13,825.64

River Rendezvous Wrap Up; Generally went well, One rider broke his wrist. Suggestions for change should be forwarded to Linda Lewis. There were 242 riders, estimated profit will be $3,672.00

Lock Master’s House: Peter Prigge will work on work schedules.

Pigmy Boat Rendezvous: July 25,2009. May have up to 1000 builders and owners.

Harmar Boat Club: started building 3 new sections of dock

Cycling Update: Aug 23-24 bike ride to Wolf Run

Boat maintenance: All boats afloat, The Wing and Nancy are available for club members use.

Dragon Boat: Many up coming activities, including Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival.

Rowing/paddling: club members may store canoes or kayaks in the boat house, don’t leave paddles or oars there due to risk of never seeing them again.

New Business:: there will be a raft race on August 16, 2009 in conjunction with the Catfish Tournament.
