McDonough Wildlife Refuge
The McDonough Wildlife Refuge is a scenic 277-acre wildlife refuge with trails that pass through beautiful wetlands and a forested hillside. The refuge offers several miles of well-marked and maintained trails for hiking and is a haven for local wildlife such as white-tailed deer and migratory birds.

The Mid-Ohio Valley Adult Baseball League (MOVABL) caters to those over 18 years of age, previous baseball experience whether it was high school, college, and/or professional, and interested in playing baseball competitively in a recreational league from May to mid-August each year.

Mid-Ohio Valley Ballroom Dance Community
This group brings together all ballroom dance opportunities in the Mid-Ohio Valley and surrounding areas. There is a growing community of dancers in the area, and this group is the one stop shop for lessons, dances and other ballroom dance events.

Organized to facilitate coordination needed to make biking easier and safer in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Open to all interested in promoting bicycling. Formed in June 2008. This group is now part of the City of Parkersburg and is now know as the Parkersburg Bicycle Advisory Board.

Mid-Ohio Valley Hoopla!
Mid-Ohio Valley Hoopla! is a project created to introduce hoopdance/hooping to the region. Hooping is a creative and fun exercise which combines dance elements with manipulation of a hula-hoop. We currently conduct classes and one-time workshops, and also participate in fairs/festivals/expos to introduce hooping to the community.

Mountwood Bird Club
Devoted exclusively to birding about 40 times a year with local and overnight trips. Meetings are held on Thursday mornings at about 8 am at different locations as indicated on the annual schedule. Weekly email announcements to remind people of locations and special requirements.
