  • Blennerhassett Bicycle Club

    Bicycle club comprised of cyclists of all ages and skill levels. The BBC promotes community, social, training & competitive bicycling events as well as supports bicycle advocacy & charitable programs in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

  • Blennerhassett Elementary School Walking Path

    The school offers a paved path for the community's use. 1 lap = 1/8th of a mile (8 laps=1 mile). This path does not have lighting.

  • Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park

    A beautiful historic Island with beautiful paths that let you explore the rich history. Paths tend to be level, wide and have a gravel surface.

  • Blennerhassett Middle School Trail

    The school has a rough, uncleared walking trail in the woods behind the school. It needs a lot of work.

  • Brickhouse Cardio Club

    An exciting fitness facility offering cardio and strength exercises including Zumba!

  • Broughton Wildlife and Education Area

    "The wildlife area contains more than 500 acres of land and is available for wildlife and environmental study by groups or individuals. It is an educational area with several trails, two ponds, a natural stream, waterfall and several areas of undisturbed nature located about one mile north of Marietta. The main entrance and parking area is located near a red barn off of Ohio 821. The Route 60 entrance is behind the Marietta Bible College. The nature area is open when the gates are unlocked."

  • Cameron Avenue Neighborhood Walking Route

    2 miles total. Includes walking in Homecrest Manor and Camelot Apartment parking lots. Most is residental neighborhoods. Mostly flat, but there is a slight incline at parts of the walk.

    Retired from her job and never stops for a moment. Cecelia kayaks, hikes, bikes, walks and now she is sharing her adventures with our readers and even invites them along.

  • Corning Park on the Little Kanawha River

    A public access site to the Little Kanawha River and Worthington Creek.

  • Cross Town Bikeway

    This trail is currently under development and will connect Southwood Park to Emerson Elementary School.

  • Downtown Parkersburg Walking Route

    Paved sidewalks, well lit. Downtown loop= 1 mile Point Park loop= 1 mile Municipal loop= 0.5 miles

  • DuPont Wildlife Enhancement Area

    The trail occupies approximately 30 acres and is owned by DuPont. Most of the trail area is wooded. There is approximately 1 acre of meadow, a small pond, a creek with year round running water, and a creek with water only during rainy periods. There is an adjacent hill of also about 30 acres that is planned to develop trails. Perfect for hiking and bird watching.

  • Edison Middle School Arboretum

    Fantastic wooded trail system behind Edison Middle school. Fenced in as well. Approximately 1 mile of mulched trails. Steep in some sections. The Master Gardeners of Wood County volunteer in the park and have wonderful signage identifying plant types throughout. There is an outdoor classroom and benches throughout the system. Well worth a visit.

  • Emerson Elementary School Walking Path

    The school offers a paved path for the community's use. 1 lap = 1/6th of a mile (6 laps=1 mile). This path does not have lighting.

  • Erickson All-Sport Facility

    Facility is open to the public 24 x 7 for tennis, running, jogging, walking, etc., except during scheduled school activities.

  • Fairplains Elementary School Walking Route

    The school offers two paths for the community's use. One is a .5 mile loop (2 laps = 1 mile). around the school. The other is a 1.5 mile lap around the school's neighborhood. Mostly flat terrain with some inclines. There are no sidewalks and neither path has lighting.

    We would like to share the beauty of Firefly Hollow by offering private nature and birding tours of Firefly Hollow.
